Lengthwise

Went to Lengthwise on Saturday night. Ate, watched the series and of course drank.

The wife had Golden Ale, not my favorite but good. I like the Centennial Ale better.
I had the Triple Hop Red Ale. Excellent. Then into good pub food made with that great foccacia beer bread.

After food I topped off the evening with Kern County Crude Porter. Good stout beer but a little sweeter than Guinness.

Name Six Beers

Six beers? I started thinking - what are the six beers I'd choose first.

Depends on the time and mood.

1.For lager and every day drinking - Bud - clear easy to drink and not too filling

2. For Mexican - Negro Modelo - I hate most Mexican beer - Dos XX amber is barely passable.

3. Later at night - Guinness Stout - tasty with a coffee like flavor, rich and creamy besides it's fun to watch

4. Somtimes - Becks - light or dark - good German beer

5. Extra Special - Gordon Biersch - Sierra Nevada Pale Ale runs a close second

6. Down Under - Fosters - love those big cans but I suspect there may be too such preservatives 'cause I get a hell of a headache

Course I like lot's of others too.

Any thoughts on that?
